Visit a turn-of-the-century kitchen, complete with antique stove and sink, and experience the home live of mill workers. Look into the past through mill and boarding house models, Interact with exhibits that tract the roots of more that 30 immigrant populations who settled in Lawrence and test your skills at planning an industrial city. A video presentation of the Great Strike of 1912 tells a powerful story of nearly 30,000 workers and the nation’s labor struggle.

The Heritage State Park program is a national mode of urban environmental design, historic preservation, and economic revitalization. Established in 1978, the parks celebrate the cities’ heritage, encourages private development, bring people into downtowns, and create urban spaces for the whole community to enjoy.
